The years look like
a Tuesday afternoon

Family, newborn and wedding photography for people who'd rather be photographed living than arranged. No stiff posing. No "say cheese." Just your people, honestly.

Hi, I'm Erick

I photograph the in‑between moments

Most of what you'll actually want in twenty years happens in the gaps — the look between the poses, the kid who won't stand still, the moment right after the ceremony when nobody's performing yet.

That's the part I shoot. I've been doing this across Dallas–Fort Worth for two decades, and my job on the day is simple: direct you when you need it, disappear when you don't, and hand you back something that reminds you how it felt — not just what it looked like.

My wife and I welcomed our daughter Isabella in May 2026. I understood this work before. I understand it differently now.

The beautiful chaos,
exactly as it is

You don't need matching outfits or a sterile studio. You need someone who can work inside a real family — the toddler mid‑meltdown, the teenager who's over it, the baby who will only smile at Dad.

Every session starts with a styling and location consultation, so nothing about the day feels improvised. Then we shoot at golden hour somewhere that actually means something to you — a park you walk, your own backyard, your living room floor.

Your only job is to love on your people. Mine is to catch it.

Newborn & Maternity  ·  In Your Home

The first days,
in your light

No studio, no props, no baby folded into shapes. I come to you — the nursery, your bed, the window you love — and we move at your baby's pace. Feedings, changes, breaks. Siblings and grandparents welcome. Usually about two hours, entirely baby‑led.

Maternity photographs best between 28 and 34 weeks, and the two book beautifully together as The First Chapter — your maternity session now, your newborn window reserved at the same time. Every price is laid out plainly below.

I just lived these first days myself, so I know how fast and how foggy the season goes. That's exactly why I shoot it unhurried.

About

Erick Johnson

I've built Love Pic Love over two decades for people who value authentic connection over forced perfection. My approach is rooted in documentary storytelling — I'll step in and direct when you need guidance, then fade back and let the real thing happen.

Before photography I toured the country playing guitar and pedal steel, and music still shapes the rhythm of how I shoot. When I need to recharge you'll usually find me in my shop covered in sawdust; woodworking takes the same patience and obsession with detail as curating a final gallery.

My wife and I welcomed our daughter Isabella in May 2026. I knew time moved fast. Now I watch it.

I'll protect your experience above everything else.
